RICHMOND, Va. — The Richmond Police Department will conduct a citywide Traffic Enforcement Blitz on Tuesday, April 7, targeting dangerous driving behaviors that contribute to serious injuries and fatalities on local roadways.
Officers will focus enforcement efforts on the following violations:
- Handheld device use while driving
- Reckless driving
- Speeding
- Failure to stop for pedestrians
- Impaired driving
The initiative will concentrate on high-traffic corridors, including:
- Laburnum Avenue
- Chamberlayne Avenue
This enforcement effort is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to improving roadway safety and reducing preventable crashes throughout the city.
Motorists are urged to remain alert, obey traffic laws, and prioritize the safety of pedestrians and fellow drivers.
