The Harlem Globetrotters are set to make a stop in Petersburg this spring as part of their 100 Year Tour, bringing their signature mix of basketball, entertainment, and audience interaction to the Virginia State University Multi-Purpose Center.
Scheduled for April 3, 2026, the performance is part of a nationwide tour celebrating a century of the Globetrotters’ influence on the game and their role in shaping sports entertainment. Known for blending athleticism with humor, the team’s live shows feature trick shots, ballhandling routines, and crowd participation moments designed to engage fans of all ages.
The Petersburg stop adds to a growing slate of non-athletic programming at the VSU Multi-Purpose Center, which has increasingly positioned itself as a regional venue for touring events and large-scale entertainment. With its proximity to Richmond and the broader Tri-Cities area, the event is expected to draw families and longtime fans from across Central Virginia.
The Globetrotters’ centennial tour also highlights the organization’s historical legacy, including its impact on the global popularity of basketball and its longstanding emphasis on community engagement through youth outreach and public appearances.
Tickets for the event are available through the venue’s website.
