Arts in the Park returns to Byrd Park at the Carillon for a two-day celebration of creativity\, community\, and culture. \n\n\n\n🗓 Saturday\, May 2 (11 AM – 6 PM)🗓 Sunday\, May 3 (11 AM – 5 PM) \n\n\n\nNow in its 55th year\, this nationally recognized juried show features hundreds of artists from across the country\, with work spanning painting\, ceramics\, jewelry\, sculpture\, woodworking\, photography\, and more. It’s a chance to meet artists directly and support independent creative work. \n\n\n\nBeyond the booths\, Arts in the Park offers a full-day experience with local food vendors\, open park space\, and a steady flow of visitors that reflects the event’s long-standing role in Richmond’s cultural calendar. \n\n\n\n🎟 Free admission🌦 Rain or shine🚍 Free shuttle from City Stadium (runs every ~30 minutes) \n\n\n\nPresented by the Carillon Civic Association\, the event continues to fund local nonprofits\, schools\, and public spaces—making it as impactful as it is accessible. \n\n\n\nKnow before you go: Limited parking near the Carillon; no pets (service animals only); on-site restrooms and information booth available.

Drawing from the art of immigrants in the United States and international artists from Nigeria\, Japan\, Canada\, and Mexico\, poets attending CommonWealth Poetry’s Sunday Brunch Workshop Series have written poems inspired by art.   \nJoin us as we read poetry in front of the piece of art that inspired each poem!  Art was submitted as paintings\, sculpture\, digital art\, and photographs.  The poem and art pieces will be available for sale on site.
